Notion is an international, independent music, fashion and culture multi-media brand operating on three platforms, Notion magazine, www.planetnotion.com and Notion events. We’re an alternative voice: we’ll only talk about things that we think need talking about and aren’t being talked of elsewhere. That’s the only way we can justify ourselves.

 

Notion’s most prestigious outlet is Notion magazine: our beautiful bimonthly baby brimming with the best, most original and most complete artists operating in music and fashion right now, containing in-depth interviews, artist contributors, previews, profiles, reviews, commentary, essays and divine fashion shoots. Just as Notion relishes featuring artists who flout convention and push themselves creatively, we champion a style of copy that is bold, fresh, witty and inventive. We do not exist to blindly celebrate characters we interview, but to present them anew to our audience, granting unique and original access. Above all, Notion is inclusive and for real people: a platform for imagining and forward-thinking; an alternative universe where passion thrives. Each page is crafted with such care by our art team that it’s a wonder we finish each issue.

 

Only the most important, vital events and artists are considered in Notion Magazine. That is why we use our vast array of multimedia platforms to communicate with our army of creative friends; our thrice-yearly supplements we use to salute fashion and the festival seasons; our online portal. Planetnotion.com; Notionmag.com, our online viewer and subscription service; and enormous databases of e-mail and SMS contacts by which we talk to people directly – that way things are more personal and, well, nicer.

 

The people we talk to are not the hallowed and non-existent marketing caches like First Adopters and Initiators: they are aspiring and successful creative people who know that in their working life and in their free time they want to create and express.
